The Carying Place brings more than transitional housing to Wake County
Financial instability is one of the main causes of grief and disappointment for so many people all across Wake County, and recovering from such serious issues can become a real struggle. This battle against poverty and poor living cannot be dealt with alone, especially when it comes to families with children, and this is why The Carying Place has been established.
What the volunteers at The Carying Place do is help families who want to become financially independent again by allowing them to fully understand the process, by setting and achieving goals. Through guidance and financial assistance, the volunteers help numerous people go through the pain of financial instability and regain their financial integrity.
The Carying Place provides a transitional housing program that eventually helps families self-sustain themselves. In this program, each of the families that have been accepted are paired up with a volunteer who will work with them on putting together a plan that will lead to self-sufficiency in a relatively short period of time. In addition to the transitional housing program, The Carying Place also provides short-term housing for families that are homeless or “doubled-up” or who are in danger of losing their housing.
Furthermore, people who cannot afford to acquire appropriate housing or who are motivated to build a better future for themselves can also get the help they need from the volunteers at The Carying Place. Considering that the programs at The Carying Place are specially tailored for each family’s needs and possibilities, this is the perfect place to learn how to start a new life by understanding the current situation these families are in and by setting and accomplishing real goals to help them have a better future.
Not only does The Carying Place offer families with children a chance at a better life, but it also allows people living in Cary to understand and appreciate the value of being a volunteer and of helping people in need, especially in such harsh times. Some of their other objectives are to help people correct their current situation, setting realistic goals, and budget management skills.
