(Request received from Jessie in Vacaville, California) I have received a eviction notice to move out October 3 2014 for I can’t afford to pay my rent for the fact: wages where garnished from my check for a court order matter. I am former foster youth and have no family or support for help. I would just love to be able to resolve this solution. If you could lead me and guide me to where I need to be, i will be grateful in every way. In regards for help, I am in desperate measures and will appreciate any help offered.

Jessie, we located an organization that can help with rent payments if eviction has not occurred. Community Action North Bay (CAN-B) can provide emergency assistance and works with clients who are facing homelessness due to evictions. They also have a supportive housing program that serves those who have already been evicted. You can give them a call at 707-427-1148 to request an appointment with a case manager.
