Help please. I am 24 yrs old I have a 2 yr old daughter and I am currently 7 months pregnant and we live with my kids father(my fiancee). We received a 3 day pay rent or leave notice we are currently behind on utilities and July's month on rent. Last month we paid $700 to our June rent with help through public assistance and our landlord took the money and paid for the utilities we are behind on without our knowledge($598 behind on water, garbage, and sewer which is shared with other tenants). So now they are saying that we need to pay $1,500 by Friday the 22nd or they will start the eviction process. We only have part of the money my fiancee has a part time job and he has currently started another job and doesn’t get paid for both jobs until next week, public assistance has cut us off because he has a job. We are in need of help paying off the back rent and utilities, we have no other place to go and don’t want to end up on the streets. I have hit a dead end with trying to find help I have contacted legal aid and fair housing to see what can be done but we haven’t been able to receive any information or help.
